About us
Born in 1995, Ociano gave it’s city a birth the breath of fresh air it needed. As one of the first independent retailers to open it's doors in Scotland to the likes of G-Star, Gio-Goi and many more recognised household names in the fashion world, Ociano has continued to go from strength to the strength. With space at a premium, the store was doubled in size in late 1998, with the addition of Womenswear to compliment the Mens Brands. This proved an instant success and paved the way for more store openings, first in Perth, then onto Dunfermline. The boom years were here and Ociano rode the crest of the wave of retail success and strengthened it's position as market leader. Sadly, the website never really got a look in, as things were too busy on the shop floor. That has now all changed, with the official ociano.co.uk website here to stay.
In the Summer of 2008, the founders of Ociano, decided to hang up his boots and seek pastures new and this prompted a keen interest from local rival firm and Scottish Retailer of the Year, Ozzys. Within a space of 2 months, the deal was thrashed out and Ozzys took over the keys and looked at ways to further build on the past success of this iconic name. As the end of 2008 draws to a close, plans are underway to merge Ozzys and Ociano together to create one mega clothing store, housing some of the best labels from all over the world, under one roof.
It's not our life story, but a little insight into where Ociano came from, where it's at, and where it's going. Feel free to send over any comments or questions you may have as we’re pretty keen listeners! All the best.
